Mandarin Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world. With rapidly increasing influence China is having on the world through growing economic influence and tourism, it is no wonder why so many people are interested in learning how to speak, read and write Chinese.

| The Chinese Language |
|
China is vastly diverse country with dozens of minoritycultures and hundreds of regional dialects. People in different regions of China speak differently, which makes for hundreds, perhaps thousands, of distinct, dialects. Two dialects, Mandarin and Cantonese, are primarily spoken in China. Mandarin is China’s official dialect and is what most of our students choose to learn. Mandarin is spoken by the vast majority, and one would have trouble finding an area is China that does not speak it. Cantonese is spoken primarily in Guangdong province in southern China.
